When you get tired of constantly replacing those cheap units come checkout a navigation tablet. I fell prey to RM also because i did not know any better but after 2 units just up and quit on me i did some research and found the Truckers Tablet GPS - TT2. This tablet is built for the trucker and has built in gps and is a fully functional android tablet as well. look it up on the internet and you might want one too.

Yes i have lifetime maps and have updated several times..the issue i am more concerened about is the weight and hight on restricted roads...i belive this is an isolitated problem with my unit otherwise we would have trucks running the 720 hitting the 10' bridges on Storrow Drive every day and that isn't happining......Storrow Drive was built in the 40s as a car only road...so my 720 should never send me that way.....

Have you tried to do the screen alignment?

    Thanks,

PM me the start/end addresses. I submitted to GIS, but this being a long weekend I will probably not get a reply back till Tuesday.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Mark I followed your instructions to set a permanent detour using your example. It took away I80 going East to West but when I reversed the direction, it put me back on I80. I then went back and put it in going East to West and again it routed me on I80. Any ideas?

Did you set the detour on the Map Screen under the Turn by Turn or on the Map Screen under the COG in the bottom left?

A detour will only detour the direction you are going.

    Thanks,
    Mark

In running the route you gave me at the settings you ran, here is what the newest maps show. (still in testing). I also submitted your information to GIS and they will check the route also.

Map screen under the CO. No matter what I do it only goes in as a temporary detour.
