Really successful to me is making around $650 dollars-$1000 dollars a week. Not the crappy $400-$550 dollars a week I was making with JB Hunt. They are awful I cannot believe drivers actually lease through them!!! However some of them are actually successful especially the single guys like myself. Anyway I will have more intel about it tommorrow after orientation. I'm leasing through Q Carriers all I know is most of the guys there are lease drivers and get this half of them are already on there second lease!!!! That really impressed me and Its all true too.

    MattsWays,

I would love to hear some more details on this whole deal. Ask some serious questions when you are in orientation like

What happens if you all of a sudden can't get loads anymore?

What does it cost to terminate the lease early?

Do you have the option to buy the truck at the end of the lease, and if so how much?

Who pays insurance? If they say you do, through them ask if you are allowed to get your own insurance, if so sometimes you can beat their prices..

Also when you sign that lease, make sure you read EVERY LINE and even if they "push" you to hurry up and just sign, still read EVERYTHING before you sign away.

I had a terrible lease expierence with CR England and they "pushed" me when I was reading the Lease, I should have gotten uip and walked away right then an there, but I decided not to and payed the price for it. If they are "pushing" it , that usually meanse they are hiding something.

Post some more details on this deal....

Here is what I got so far I will know more tommorrow

    $425 a week
I got 90 days to like it are leave it
I can buy the truck out after 2 and 1/2 years are I can choose to lease a newer truck at the end of the lease or buy it about half of the lease drivers are already on there second lease. I talked to 6 of the companies o/op last night at the restaurant. They are a family company I feel very very good about this all together. But I appreciate youre advice.

I did the math and in 2 1/2 years you would have paid them $55,250 almost what you could buy one for. I found this KW on at Truckpaper for 67k, and if you got a 4 year loan on it it would cost you less then what the lease payment is now.

I also found this International on truckpaper for $56k 200k miles which is what you would pay them in 2 1/2 years.

I am not trying to discourage you, but to make sure you see the other side of the picture too and weigh all the options in. I myself woudl rather get a loan on the truck for a cheaper payment and be able to make more money and have the abilty to go somewhere else if all of a sudden something happens where you are.

BTW How many miles are on these trucks?

I agree I don't like the leases that you pay for a few years then have to buy it. you are paying for the truck twice when you run the numbers

I agree with mm and others who said a lease was not worth it. Trust me when I say it will drain you and test your limits. Better off going through a dealer and buying rather than doing that messed up lease sware. I have heard enough horror stories on here to not make that decision..

Well I don't have good enough credit. as for the miles I don't know I will no more tommorrow all I can say is I sure as hell "WILL NOT GO BACK TO JB HUNT" I can do it I wil be fine. If the company has that many lease operators it can't be all that bad. I feel that statistics are always a good factor. The company has more lease operators that company and they are doing good with it.
