Ridgeline - how is it that you have given 0 thanks? is that a glitch?

Might I suggest you go back to all of my previous posts and thank them all.

Why would you need to carry a folding table? These cooker types are designed with little legs on them to allow for cooking on grass or asphalt or whatever else. Ofcourse, if you did want a small standing table for comfort....plenty of them available but you are starting to use up valuable space.....What's wrong with using the area between the tractor and the trailer? I've seen a guy with a small bbq on the back of his!

I'm not trucking yet, so I don't know the "real world" of it all yet. I'm just thinking that I like to cook, so why not strap a folding Lifetime style table to catwalk.

Thanks to this thread, I've pretty much narrowed down my appliance choices. My must have's are a small Weber grill, Vitamix, and my Breville wok. With these three things and the MW in the truck, I figure I can do most of the things I do now.

no Crock Pot???? wake up....dump all the ingredients in....hit the slow cook for 10 hours button and off you go.....steaming hot stew...or chilli....or whatever else your brain can come up with waiting for you to devour after a long day :D

Yes, I forgot to list it. Sort of an automatic isn't it. That makes four appliances, I sure hope that is feasible.

I sure will miss the rice cooker, and the bread machine for making pizza dough.

I guess it's a fine line between being comfortable and carrying too much stuff.

I think there is plenty of room under the lower bunk for all sorts of crap.....It also depends how many other things you have.....i.e. clothes, shoes, blah blah. :D

We have a wooden TV table/tray... Folded up and slid between cabinet and mattress when rolling... Total feasible!

    bergy Thanks this.

I have a Small Weber grill I use outdoors when possible and a 30" x 48" plastic folding table I keep strapped on the back of the cab. Inside I have a crock pot, (love that thing...put fresh vegs and a roast in there in the mid day and it's done when I stop driving), electric fry pan and a lunch box cooker I use mainly to bake potatoes with. I save a lot of $ cooking my own food.

As a former chef for 25 years, I have considered doing some videos similar to these for other drivers. I think I would try to put a little different spin on mine though. Most of them that I have seen are all the same and many of them are using real crap for ingredients. I saw one the other day where a guy was showing people how to cook a can of corn...like this guy with his microwaved frozen veg....blah! I mean, if this guy has a microwave and TV he's obviously got a small fridge too. He should be cooking more fresh, doesn't take much longer to prepare and he could just as easily do foil packets on the grill at the same time he's cooking the steaks/fish or chicken.
