I'm looking at driving CF out of SC. Anybody have real not just mad feedback. I drove Werner out of school, had decent checking account after 1.5 yrs. Drove local carrier and was home weekly. That company went with all O/O. Need honest feedback about Carroll Fulmer, Thanks
Thinking about Carroll Fulmer in SC~ any truth out there?

I have been at Fulmer about 3 months. I have driven for the Athens Al office and now I am driving out of Groveland. Its easier for me to get home in Mobile Al working out of Groveland, more freight going by my house.
It's an okay company not great not horrible but they are okay. I havent had under 2500 miles and I am usually up around or a little over 3000. I just got a small fuel bonus on my check like 100 bucks. I have been with worse companies. I am always pre planned a day or 2 in advance right now I have 3 pre plans on me. Like I said its okay. I stay busy and the money is okay not great but okay.
You could do worse than fulmer. -
They also advertise no cap on raises, and I wonder how many old timers they retain?
I have been interested as well in CF,but not gonna jump from frying pan,to frying pan.
Whats your truck set at mph?
Thanks, and didn't mean to thread jack op -
If they are telling you that you will be home often or every weekend I would tell you that really means every other weekend. They are just another trucking company. I would say definitely better then werner. For the most part I don't have many complaints. Trucks are set at 65 but really go 64. They bought some new internationals but I doubt anyone new will get one. I get home on time most of the time but they are kinda strict on the 1 day off for every 7 out. The health insurance sucks if you have a family, I didn't even get it. Starting pay 32 cpm 34 cpm after 90 days. I idle as often as I choose to and no complaints ever. The pay is low which is the biggest problem. I bring home between 700-900 every full week out.

Typical florida trucking company.
They've been around a long time, and alot of drivers find a permanent home there.
Good LuckLeftnut Thanks this. -
ArmyGuy is right. The only thing that was different is I started at .34 with a raise after 30 days. That has changed a little from when I started, from what I have heard.
Like ArmyGuy I bring home 700-900 a week and I dont sit I am always moving. Not a whole lot to complain about. They get me home the day I ask or
a day before.
I am sure I could make more somewhere else but its okay here and I am going to stay for a while.
Orientation kinda sucks the bunk house isnt great the food isnt great but I have been thru worse. Joe the instructor is a great guy.
If the recruiter is telling you home on weekends they will tell you in orientation like ArmyGuy said every other weekend.OPUS 7 Thanks this. -
The monthly safety bonus a driver can qualify for after 90 days the fuel bonus you can start that the first of the month after you start. Get 6.5 mpg or better and 50% or less idle time. I just got 102 bucks for that.
Also the negative posts on here about Fulmer I have not had any of the issues they are talking about.OPUS 7 Thanks this. -
I will not be leaving anytime soon. I had an issue that needed to be taken care of and it was very quickly. They seemed like they cared and wanted to make sure I was happy. I dont know that I have had any companies really act like they cared about my happiness.

Neighboring topic guys are very angry about lower starting pay than promised and about not having Easy Pass , waiting for comchecks for a long time to pay for tolls, and about ripping you off when you quit.
