you know when looking at those TS you need to look at parking
I bet the Flying J is only one with parking
Fort Pierce is the only really good option other then the 595
I would plan my day around Fort Pierce and getting to Miami before rush hour

I like the 595 because if unloaded you can drop trailer and bobtail. Plus my 3 kids live about 6 miles away. They just redid their big parking lot there too. It is totally paved now instead of a big gravel lot.

If you click on the the truck stop it gives you a list of amenities, number of parking spaces and a satellite view from google maps. You can also customize what you are looking for ....trailer wash, etc.
USA also has overnight parking and a trailer wash. However, I will bow to your superior knowledge Oh Cranky One, the King usually did his best to make his deliveries and get out of there without having to spend the night. He had some little restaurant on the way back to Auburndale that allowed him to park overnight.jungHo Thanks this. -
speaking of swaps i had an interesting one... they got me to bobtail from dollar general in Iowa all the way over to springfield illinois and get a load from a guy who was out of hours.... they sent me to the road ranger on exit 100a and sent him to the one on exit 90.... then wouldnt tell me where he was and he had no phone lol..... fun night lol.

I'm impressed! George hasn't been online to read the posts about truck stops, (and I didn't tell him about best stops), yet, he managed to stop for the night at Fort Pierce! He is just about 1 1/2 hours from his 1st stop, Pompano Beach. The other two stops are, in order, Medley, and Opa-Locka.

there are many ways to determine where to stop
first place i looked was the pocket truck stop guide $4-5 at the TS
then when I got my own GPS I bought a Rand Mcnally
truck Gps have points of interest (POI)
you click POI along route it will show you most TS to your destination
then i Google every receiver look at the satellite view to see what to expect
very often the address on the bills is the office not the truck entrance -
many places also have a directions option on their phone lines
this was a vital option to me for tomorrows pu in boston
as there are 2 12' 6" bridges within a mile of the placePanhandle flash Thanks this. -
We also use every available resource ....why not ....the King has the truck stop books and a Rand McNally GPS. Between all of them you are usually able to find out what you need to know....what one doesn't show another will. I'm glad Pete brought up the phone because many times the number that TransAm provides won't do much for you. By checking online for alternative phone numbers we were able to come up with what was needed.
