Hi Dron, if you search around the forum you will see most answers are negative. I do think this is a good choice but is all up to the price and the deal that you will make. Get it checked up before you buy it. Do a search and you will find lots of info here that will answer on your question. Good luck!
btw: I dont think that ratio is right? -
It is a fleet spec -- ideally suited for cruising at 60-65mph. CARB-legal, but along with it comes the lack of reliability associated with failing sensors, dpf, egr, scr, -- alphabetsoup stuff that mechanics don't fully understand and tend to just throw your money at rather than diagnose and repair.

I've driven a few Volvo's, a Cascadia and a ProStar.
By far the ProStar was the most prone to problems.
In a total of 6 months in the truck, it was in the shop 6 weeks of that.
If there was a problem to be had, that truck had it.
25% down time for half a year makes for a very bad year.
From my own experience, and from what I've read and heard, I hope to never set foot in one again.
By the way, mine was a 2010. -
I operated several Prostars over a three-ish year period. My advice? Don't.

Well i have a 2014 prostar with the cummins isx15 motor in it. Got the truck with only 8488 miles on it December 15, 2013 and as of today i have almost 76000 miles on it. So far(knock on wood) i am glad to report no malfunctions so far with it. I guess i got a gem of a truck because my company forgot to turn it down, forgot the idle-speed reduction and i can idle it all day long without the speed going from 65 down to 63 and below. I must say the ISX15 motor is a sweet motor. Running 65 - 70 most of the time i still get 7.2mpg. Now i dont know if that is decent mpg but i cant complain. Company hasnt complained either.
