Almost 10 hours spent there. Checked out the Pilot near Medley. No go. What a dump. Hopped the turnpike North and made it to Pompano Beach service plaza and parked with 4 minutes to spare. Rather be lucky than good. Nice and safe here. Downed a single and full grilled chicken salad at Wendys. Now I am happy. Tired but happy. Two more stops then a preplan from Pepsi in Auburndale FL to Ochelata OK to a Walmart DC. Do we drivers actually unload those Pepsis?? Deuces.

    jungHo and HometimeQueen Thank this.

typically the lumpers unload the truck
then an employee from the warehouse counts it
so an empty truck means nothing

He is unhappy ....but he is sitting there drawing detention pay after 2 hours.

Somewhere I have some notes on that WalMart DC in Ochelata, OK. It's kinda in the middle of nowhere if I remember right.

Rude coaches, rude managers, the managers think they can get any woman they want from the company. I Rate this place 0 stars

Should have went to the 595 truck stop in Davie. Closer than Pompano plaza. Great restaurant and big parking lot. It is $10 or $15 to park but it worth it. And if your company I think TA will reimburse you for it.

TransAm unfortunately doesn't reimburse you for parking fees at a truck stop .....I think they should. Anyway, Ochelata is the one in the middle of nowhere. There is a dirt lot across the highway that you can park in if you need to ....or if you need a place with food and amenities there is a little Quick Stop type of place just past the DC that has parking and a restaurant. It is paid parking, if you get there after hours it is on the honor system and there is a drop box for your parking fee.
