Looks like the Loves has recently opened in Dodge (about a half mile south of the Flying J). Anyone been in there have any thoughts or complaints on the setup? I'll be headed there or to Holcomb from Wichita in a bit and guess I'll see for myself but it will be nice to have an option now.

I'll be running through there today. I might stop by.

I avoid all loves till they learn how to wash towels
Raiderfanatic Thanks this. -
Im sure its going to be the same as the flying J, parking lots filled with more bobtails than the eye can see... National Beef needs to build a lot for drivers waiting on beef loads..
weaselbagger and Raiderfanatic Thank this. -
It's not open yet
-
Nope, it's not. Looks like maybe sometime the first week of June. Their web sites shows that location with no mention of it not yet opened, and even has fuel prices for it.
Looks like they are not going to have a lot of tractor-trailer parking, but more then the normal allotment of bobtail parking space. I hate the Dodge J for a lot of reasons. Can't wait to take my business elsewhere. -
Not open yet, heard it was supposed to open in June I go through there either 4 or 6 times a week. Will post when I see it open.
-
That option will be short lived. I give it a week, then it will always be filled to over capacity just like the J. -
Adding the Loves will definitely take some of the pressure off of the J and reduce the "crowding" by in fact about one half. Certainly isn't going to make the situation any worse. Yes, they will both remain "full" for the most part but to say it isn't going to help the situation is plain wrong. Just having more and improved fuel lanes will be a huge plus.
Would you rather Loves have not opened up there and allowed the "J" to maintain an exclusive monoply on the truck stop business there and run it however shottily they cared to, just because they could? -
Marshall Dillon has made Dodge City safe now. I might stop in. Maybe Doc in on the registry and I can get a physical.
