Most all the Costco you'll go to, operate the same way. Wish other warehouses would operate that way!!!!HometimeQueen Thanks this.

How are you doing today, Hometime Queen? Hope you're feeling much better. If you're like me, my husband's my best friend, and nobody best pick on him, or I'll be mad and on the defensive!!
HometimeQueen Thanks this. -
Doing better today, thank you jungHo..... as an added bonus my yard sure does look good from all of the mowing that I did!
How is everyone doing today? And where are you all? ....gotta update those map pins! Panhandle and Cranky try not to lose your gold stars today!
gamma, it's wonderful that you get to be home for Father's Day! I know the kids will be excited! Where is ajacks? She hasn't been here in awhile.
Midgard14, I am glad to know that they now have the pages color coded in the manual for the elog guide, that will save a lot of frustration for the drivers.
dennisroc, how are you feeling? When is it that you come back to the states for vacation?
Gordon, are you and the Mrs. ready to go back out on the road?
honeybadger, glad you are back and that you enjoyed your time at home.
kf4omc, are you still in Oklahoma?
Cranky One, are you making your way back across the I 80?
Let's see, Panhandle was in Grand Rapids, George is on his way to Oklahoma, honeybadger is on the way to Odessa, gamma is in Illinois, ....map pins updated! -
Walgreens is another one. They always get you unloaded promptly and are driver friendly.

No. I am in Dallas now. Heading down to Houston over night. Delivered at 8 am and next load is 4pm pick up with a hard delivery time south of Houston at 7am. Since I have to drive all night my DM thru in an extra $50 because I wasn't running night normally. Good deal. But I hate sleeping during the day.

Stopped here in Clanton, Alabama at the Loves 208mm I 65. I must say Ihave been very lucky so far that all my shippers and receivers have treated me very well including the ones at Abilene. And no I DON'T dress in a tuxedo. I enjoy doing what I do and I am far from the best at it. Still a work in progress especially at backing. But I have improved from hopeless to merely horrible. Maybe by the end of summer I can be adequate. Still I wear that happy emotion on my sleeve and look happy to meet the shippers and receivers. I am proud to do what I do, and have had the most fun doing this job than any other in my adult working life. You'd be surprise how many people ask me "whats so funny?" And I say "did you see me back -did you you shoot a youtube video". If I didn't learn to laugh at myself, I would have gotten the crap beaten out of me on a regular basis.
I had the breakfast cook, at the orientation hotel (her name was Paula) tell me you dont look like a truck driver. What are you doing here? I'm learning how to be a driver and coming to work for TransAm. They were one of three companies to bring me to orientation. Superservice and Navajo were the other two. By the way PTL rejected me. I must really be bad. Got my DAC report back. My former employer correctly placed my incidents on the DAC. But what really hurts is that he put would not rehire. Geez. Guess I'm never going back there now or ever. I must say that I really like TransAm system and way of doing things. I like my truck a lot. My driver manager, Tessa Mullins is very good at her job and treats me well. The runs are good so far and they haven't crammed the lease down my throat. Only one week in, but a very good week. Imagine if I didn't have a cold. Still grateful for the time and experiences with SAGE, Howard, and Abilene even though it did not end very well. I have more respect for this industry now than ever. I hope to blossom with TA since they stuck their neck out for me and gave me another chance. HTQ thanks for all you do. Now to find a place to sleep tomorrow night. Deuces.
George (TA's newer addition)jungHo and HometimeQueen Thank this.
