Hello all, I have seen lost of posts about folks wanting to get into the business, and seeing the push back. I am not trying to go OTR, I have a booking source that allows me to be regional.

I am looking for suggestions on the best equipment to use. Good insurance companies.

I see that most people say that 3500's are not ideal. I have been looking at Dodge 4500 for a hauler and a Take 3 3/4 car trailer.

Any insight would be helpful. Thanks.

Good day, let me start by saying I was on the road to haul cars, purchased a c4500 and was in the process of purchasing a real nice low pro 3/4 car hauler.

The main thing to remember with the truck is gcw, ford and gmc are now listing the gcw, this could be a problem and my not be a problem depending on the dot officer. Dodge has yet to implement the gcw but from what I have read they will in the near future. It makes no seance why. That being said I would suggest a single axel tractor.

Progressive offers good rate, I am now shopping for a better rate. Suggestions!?!

I made the jump to a full size tractor and general freight, simply because there is more work. If you are running a 3/4 car you will need you mc# and everything that comes with it.

Good luck, either way there is money to be made.
