    I've only pulled a tanker since I graduated school. I'll NEVER do any other line of work in trucking except tanker. Great money and the majority of jobs are local

    My friend out of trucking school drives local tanker and only makes $500 per week. He got a second job to make up the pay.

    Local gigs typically don't pay well. Granted there are some exceptions to that but they require a lot of experience or knowing someone.

    I did local for 2 years, made decent money but hated it!
