Hey Melo15, good move for you going company. The risks are way less at this stage of the game. Cant believe Tim decided on lease. Guess he got dollar signs in his eyes. It is fun out here. Really enjoying it all. Made 2004 miles oh a short week plus 2 add on stops. Monday was a holiday and Tuesday was a mess, but got on track Wednesday Thursday, and today (next paycheck). Sitting here at the Loves in Ozark Arkansas with a delivery 180 miles away and an 8am delivery time. Must start at 4am tomorrow and only have seven hours on my recap. Had a lot of off duty time last Saturday as I was sick so took extra long breaks. Sunday should get good hours then blah again on Monday. We'll see. Hate to take a 34 same week as hometime, but need to get home to see the wife and get the rest of my things. In passing, I 22 in Northwest Alabama is a scenic drive. Deuces gang.

Cactus smells like a cow's butt.
Load is ready and Tcalling to Olathe tomorrow. They are calling me back for satellite recalls and I need to go to KW to have them fix things that weren't fixed properly in Oklahoma City.

I don't know the correct answer but I almost always PC at least around town while waiting. If waiting for a Baxter load in North Cove, NC, I PC to the main part of town or even to the Love's for a shower and that must be 30+ miles round trip.
My PC useage is usually just a few miles to find food and WiFi but I have at times PC'ed probably over 80 miles during a long wait, just screwing around, killing time and no one has ever said anything to me about it. -
It takes an act of God to be able to PC with Werner. We have to request it and only if accepted will the option button be enabled. They are super strict about its use.

I am with jaso on the issue of personal conveyance. There is some ambiguity in the way the regulation is written and I think TransAm takes advantage of that. I know they have sent the King home when he was out of hours and told him that he could just PC. Since that would have been about 180 miles and he was tugging an empty trailer I think that was pushing way past the gray area for a couple of reasons ....The first one being that it was a re-positioning of equipment since he would leave from home to pick up a load in Carthage or Arkansas. The second being that it took a little over 3 hours to get home....that is not considered reasonable personal use. Reasonable personal use is no more than 2 hours travel time with the ability to have 8 hours in the sleeper after that. But as far as going somewhere within reason to take care of personal needs ....eating, motel, etc. .....there is no problem with doing that and TransAm won't question that.
jungHo Thanks this. -
Hmmmm ....doesn't like to sweat, misses driving.....likes to eat well. jaso, I see no mention of enjoying spending time with your wife!

Shoot TA would have me PC from Miami to Clearwater with a trailer to go on hometime. That is almost 5 hours and 250 miles.
HometimeQueen Thanks this. -
jungHo, have you ever considered acting mean, grumpy and tired even when you are not? If that is what it took to get Brother to do his share to help and to turn the tables on him, I think I could put on a good show for him!

I am glad you are getting a break! Enjoy your time with the kids ....and then it's just a little over a week until George will be home!jungHo and gntorres61 Thank this. -
You made good time to Cactus. What wasn't fixed right on your truck? Are you doing alright, honeybadger? You sound a little down.
