Next question. What do I need to test with for my driver's test. Looking at a 40' max trailer to haul with. Does the trailer I test with need to be a certain length???
What do I need to do?

I assume you mean for your CDL. Indiana states that you must test with equipment similar to that which you will be using. It states that in the CDL study guide. I would suggest though to go to a CDL school and do it that way.
-
Ya "similar" equipment. Doesn't need to be exactly the same trailer or length but atleast needs to be 10,001 gvw. Study up that pre-trip though. I tested on a semi so not sure what testing with a hotshot would be like

Looks like a school might be my only option, or best option. Unless I go to a school or have "verifiable" experience, I can only use my truck. That sucks. I could understand for a 25 year old, but ####, I'm 54 and been pulling my whole life.
Oh well. One more option to check on.
Thanks for the help. -
Are you reffering to renting a truck to do the test?
-
No sir, I have a couple of trucks I can get a hold of to test. I am talking about no "verifiable" experience pulling a trailer and being able to work for someone.

Is there any companies out there that will hire someone with no verifiable experience??
