What does the age have anything to do with it? And why with all of your experience did you go to Marten? And they don't have loads over 500 miles? I know a few Marten drivers that would disagree with that..

Age has a lot to do with experience and maturity. Something in very short supply at that terminal. But if you like it there you can have my share of their BS too. They aren't my problem anymore anyway LOL.

I would never work for Marten. But a dispatcher at my company isn't over 26-28 and one of the best I've ever seen. So, why did you get fired?

Alright, alright....
Back it down, people. Let's not start a battle here. -
Boo, my comment was a joke. Clearly indicated by the emoticon...joseph1135 Thanks this.

Because they are really good liers.. They advertise on sirus XM all the time about" other pay "than good mileage. I was ready to quit after 1 week of work but I already spent too much money at that point to leave. Also didn't want to be accused of jumping jobs... Most company will lie to get drivers hired...

There is allways drivers who like to SUCK. They brag about what they can do. Those drivers who kiss ### may get better runs but they don't last long

i gave marten a try last year and what a joke !...no miles ...they would do anything they could to screw ya outa their famed detension pay ...dispatcher was a punk kid...bugged ya 24/7 on the qaulcomm ...lied about bieng able to take truck home ....i lasted a month lol.

Not to discredit anyone on this thread, but I to have spoken to a couple of Marten Transport drivers and they seemed fairly satisfied. One driver was with his wife and was getting a backhaul for home time...I got the assumption he hadn't been kept out for months. He was also happy with $20 hr. detention pay after the first hour. Come to think of it, I don't think I've read too many bad posts about Marten. They might be halfway decent for most drivers considering they are a big name carrier. Just sharing what I've experienced with all due respect to the OP. 😉

They had a bad reputation 20yrs ago. Maybe they have improved? School I went to back then warned they'd put anyone in a truck. Hmn maybe I should give em a call...
