CRST pays for training, then requires you to drive 8 months for them. Has anyone gone this route?

Too much team driving with those folks. Even after training you'll be lucky to get your own truck.

CRST is a team driving company only. The only drivers that get their own trucks are lead drivers i.e Trainers.

Yes, it's essentially "indentured servitude", and most of the major carriers [who also train OTJ] provide this option. Some have longer work requirements then others to avoid legal and credit score hassles in the event you quit early. I think you can crash and get fired and most will forgive the balance due on the debt.

CRST is exactly the reason I retired from trucking back in '06. They showed me exactly what was wrong with the industry. I'm a natural optimist so I stuck it out for 2 years. Well they made me regret that in spades. They made me hate trucking so much that after I got off the truck I dropped my endorsements and went down to a regular Class D license. Since then I've been working as an independent dispatch agent working for owner operators. I miss the positive experiences I had while trucking, but in order for me to climb back into one I'd have to have serious financial problems at home.

Crst is a company unlike some they do not care about drivers. Please dont think all companies are alike. Crst you can make money but you also cant figure out the accounting. Or most of the time you cant get an answer on questions.
