I think you are way over thinking things. First, you got the tickets so there isn't anything you can do about it anyway so why worry? Second, you seem to think that companies think. They don't. They just have little punch cards to see if they can pass you off to the next guy. Having tickets in the past limits you as it makes their insurance higher. Usually, you are allow 2 tickets in three years. I do not know how they handle cell phone tickets. They are new in our society.
We see many folks talking on cell phones. Some do so without a problem. I use a headset as required in trucks. But as I do not have any friends, it is not a problem for me. I hate talking on the phone.
What I would like to point out to the haters is that the police man who writes tickets for cell phone use, has a cell phone, a computer with a key board, radios, radar guns, and an automatic doughnut dunker that he is operating while driving.
I believe we have enough Government types out there messing with our lives, we do not need to turn on each other.
Welcome to trucking and stay safe and away from my truck.
Will I get hired with this record?

Okay let me give a try at a more constructive comment.
Your violations give a hint that you believe the rules don't apply to you. You need to work on developing the habit of following the rules if you really want to be a truck driver. That said most mega training carries will hire you.
As to cranky yankee. I've been driving for 26 years, been a commercial driver for 16 of that(bus and truck). 1 ticket in all that time. -
Thanks guys for the replies. I currently have 2 speeding tickets...neither exceed 15 over the limit. I have 2 cell phone tickets now as well. If I understand correctly moving violations stay on ur record for 3 years then drop off. The last time I have had any speeding tickets was in the late 90's. I am looking to get a Class A License. I got lucky I think, as there is a truck driving school about 2 miles from my house that is 180 hrs, they offer endorsements and charge $4,000. They charge $2,000 at the start and $2,000 when finished. The name of the school is International Truck Driving School they are located in Santa Maria, Ca. Does anybody have any experience with this school? From what I have read it seems for the most part I will be ok with my current tickets.
Thanks again,
JamesChinatown Thanks this. -
Much better. Thank you sir.

"Usually you are allowed two tickets in three years..."
This applies to moving violations, not any others such as a parking ticket or expired sticker, etc.Chinatown Thanks this. -
You're good to go. 180 hr. school is a plus. Get all the endorsements, TWIC, passport.
Start researching companies now so you can start your career with top notch company. -
Something else that can help you is a defensive driving course. Even the online version (if your state has one) will help you look better. That is if your're willing to learn from the past and not get tickets like that again.

Thanks Nukem,
I never considered taking a defensive driving coarse....great idea. I am always open for learning especially when it pertains to a career.
Thanks,
James
