Bad Company Carolina Cargo

Yes there is a need for second chance companies! But they should not abuse those who need their help!

 

This is a company who abuses. Stay far the #### away from them. People can do a lot better than .10 a mile.

 

First--I of all people am all for anyone getting a second chance in life !! That's if a person has really changed. I am also for anyone who has a dream of being whatever they want to be. With that being said--I will start by saying that Carolina Cargo did give me a shot when no one wanted me. I had 2 DWI convictions but no felonies ! I went to a GREAT school who said that I would have a tough time finding work !! But I was very determined to make trucking a career. After 200 companies telling me "NO" I still plowed ahead. I spent 6 years with this company and I could write an encyclopedia on many subjects but will try to make it simple. CROOKS HIRE FELONS !!! This guys makes around $12,000 a head when it is all said and done. Most people last about 3 weeks !!!!! The most you will ever make is .20 cents a mile as a trainer !! .12 to .15 cents is the norm !! Days could be spent at a Cooler without getting paid !! You will see a lot of country but your check will not reflect the miles driven !! You could sit around the yard all day waiting for a load with your other fellow drivers !! Many other things I will not say because you get the point !! I put up with all this for myself because it got my foot in the door and with time and luck---I showed other companies I could do what was promised. Also--after working for this company everything else felt like it was GRAVY !! I now do what I want and have a better attitude that many truckers out there !! We all have our limits some times but----How BAD DO YOU REALLY WANT TO BE ATRUCKER !!! Only you can decide that !!

I usually agree with you but not on this subject. Cancer is a disease. Lukemia is a disease. Angina is a disease. Drug and alcohol addiction is not a disease. It's a choice.

The medical community classifies it as a disease just like those you mention complete with genetic markers providing some people with more of a predisposition to addiction than others. Think of it this way...many can say most (not all) heart disease diagnoses can also be classified as a "choice" using your logic...simply because you made the choice not to eat sensibly, diet and exercise.

 

Well, it's on the internet so it must be true.

We'll just have to agree to disagree this time.

 

Not a problem ... but you have to acknowledge the science behind the conclusion.
