I would check the attitude about "small town" cop and judges. As a professional driver shifting the blame is not something you are allowed to do. Had you had this accident in a semi truck you could have done some serious damage. You would have lost your job as rear ending a vehicle is one of the most serious accidents you can have.

Having said that. Get to an attorney and try to get the ticket removed. It will cost time and money. Going to school for it will cost some more time and money but you can make that up. You should be able to find employment but equipment failure is not an excuse you can use in trucking.

"It's not my fault! It was a mechanical issue that caused me to rear end the car in front of me!"

Such statements don't put you at the top tier of applicants.

Companies are looking for drivers who will identify such issues "before driving" and get the proper service.

So you 'crank' it while it is still running, and that causes it to shut off - unless you give it some gas while you are cranking it while it is still running?
And that made it lurch forward into the other car, I suppose.

All of your posts suggest that you simply don't know how to drive very well.

If your engine stalls you need to set the brake, put it in neutral, then restart it.
If you are just turning the key without thinking and sending yourself into another vehicle in the process, what hope do you have when you are behind the wheel of something weighing 80,000 pounds?

Get a few more years of experience TRYING to master a little 4-wheelie.

Had it tuned up last month. Had no reason to suspect anything was wrong.

Get that car fixed. Stalling all the time everywhere you go is a big time safety concern and you should make safety a higher priority. You ARE aware of the problem and it seems you continue to drive with it. The "small town cop" must have thought so too. Seems you should have learned this after rear ending someone but apparently you have not. What year / model car do you drive?
