I transferred to Charleston, SC about 3 years ago. In Orlando the local work will consist of double runs and multiple stops almost daily. I'd guess 2 loads and 6 to 7 stops a day to be the norm. Starting out you would work nights with Tuesday or Wednesday off or Wednesday and Thursday off. That's pretty much the reason I transferred. Slim chance of moving up too. Though the money is really good in Orlando. It is the best paying depot in the lower 48 to my knowledge. Orlando is a medical plant and they do a crap load of little tiny hospitals...

Thank you for your reply, i can see they work pretty much the same way in Orlando ,FL has we do here, here you start at night for x amout of years in Montreal ,Québec terminal, we work 4 days on 3 days off , 48/64 hrs unless yor running teams with Liquid Hydrogen for 5 days strait. we have city work , out of city work but home every night and the longer run which can take you 4 to 5 days and sleep in the sleeper cab trucks.

I ve been with Air Liquide for 8 years now ,and still working weekend from Saturday to Thursday. Of course the money here is is good as well, the last for years i ve been taking home little over $70,000 a year ,and we are getting a pay raise of 3% every year for the next 6 . Chance of getting ahead here is very slow also , to get a weekdays day shift here your looking at 13-15 years ,unless you chose to work the night shift then theres possibility of working from Sunday to Wednesday or during the week.

What kind of take home pay would i be looking at in Orlando? and how many hrs a week ? i s there chance of working overtime if of course your logbook will let you?

    Thanks for your reply again

I believe things are a little different US to Canada, that said, they work 5 day work weeks, I'd guess 55 hours a week average. You can always volunteer for a 6th day so long as you have the hours and they have the work. Hours also completely depend on how you run. I'd guess pay to be 65000 on the low end 75000 on the high street nd. I grossed 80000 when I was there but I ran on a utility team on and off. The company will pay relocation too. I know firsthand as I got 5k to move 450 miles.
