That's what's known as "free R&D": the newest version will be better.

Would you go mudding in an automatic? Same thing.

I also wouldn't take them logging in Maine.

My point is this, there are so many thinking that an auto in a big truck is an end all be all! Obviously this contradicts what so many of you have been saying!

Its not just problematic in the mud either as you see I also put snow, ice, dirt which includes sand and gravel! Also what is wrong with mudding in an automatic? I don't see a problem with it, I watch concrete trucks do it all the time!

I will state it again, from what he has told me I would not want one, also his opinion on them being able to handle it up there is an epic fail!

You don't take concrete trucks mudding. The fact you think I'm talking about commercial vehicles tells me you don't know what mudding is.

Are these actual brush trucks, or are they just highway trucks pressed into service as brush trucks? I mean, the VED was designed for vocational work, sitework, etc., but the VNL series? 12/13k steers with 38/40k drives, highway gearing, a lack of full diff lockers, and low sitting wheel fairings does not a brush truck make.

Yep! Done it many times and had a blast. Also took 2wd trucks and passed jeeps. Boy did that piss them off.

    Lux Prometheus Thanks this.

Oh, yeah.. you'd be amazed what a 2WD with a full locking diff can accomplish vs. a 4WD without them.
