Need some advice. My husband parks his truck at our home about 6 days a month (usually no longer than 48 hours at a time) Our neighbor filed a complaint with the county and now we've been notified that we can no longer park the truck anywhere in our neighborhood or face a daily fine The neighbor never once came and spoke to us about it. Is there anything I can do? The county said I could appeal but most likely the decision would remain the same. We aren't in the city limits so this is strictly a county thing. Our subdivision is mainly blue collar workers and 3 other drivers from different companies bring their trucks home. I am really frustrated by people treating truck drivers so badly ... Do they not realize how the things they buy get from point A to point B. Such a thankless job sometimes![]()

Happens all of the time. It is why most find other places to park.
Only choice is to appeal and if not successful, look for things to complain about the other resident as pay back for the trouble. Maybe a boat, rv or too many cars.Outlaw 13, peterbilt_2005, pattyj and 1 other person Thank this. -
I did find out that I can still park there until the appeal is settled ... That will really piss them off
I'm not usually a mean spiteful person but this really makes me mad. -
they don't care. Many residential areas have requirements against parking anything larger than an SUV. or the number of parked vehicles. If the local government had NOT passed the ordinance, then the neighbor complaining, would have had NO effect... The one neighbor is not the problem, but the city ordinance is the problem.

Not much you can do.... You can attempt to fight them but unless he's been parking there since before the zoning law became into affect (he would be grandfathered ).you will probably lose
you neighbor is just a coward , probably didn't even call it in , they hide behind the computer and filed a form online!Outlaw 13 Thanks this. -
That's true. It was all done by email. Of course I'm not sure she realizes that the County sent me copies of all of her emails because when the complaint was filed they became public record.

Research the law & then take photo's of the other trucks , RV's & or any other thing that can help your cause ! I had to when getting permission to park my truck in town ! Good luck .

Contact the other truck owners in your neighborhood to join your in the appeal. If you lose it will effect them as well.

I thought about contacting them but I would hate to have them involved and end up having to move their trucks too. I did find out that if I appeal the decision the case wouldn't be heard until October which means we couldn't be fined for having the truck parked at our house until after then. That will be a thorn in their butt.
