Just remember, that back in early 2008, they were considering the removal of the 34 hour in full and then we would have the recap of 10 hour break and 11 hour driving and thirty minute break. Imagine what that might do.

Ever since that law went into affect I haven't had a single 34-hour reset until I get hometime

Union guys???? Lol bankers hours.. What % of truck drivers in this country are union? Less than 12%. So yeah its the union drivers who want to drive a truck that doesn't double as a motor home and live a normal life at home. Try again. You probably don't even vote. If you do... vote smarter next time
Lux Prometheus, TruckDuo and semi retired semi driver Thank this. -
Heres an example of what would happen if they repealed the 34 hour restart altogether
Day 1 0
Day 2 0
Day 3 11
Day 4 12
Day 5 12
Day 6 12
Day 7 11
Day 8 12 = 70 Hrs
Day 9 0
Day 10 0 Youd have to sit 48 hours (Day 9 & 10) before youd pick up any hours to drive with (if they repeal the 34 hr restart) because you pick no hours up on day 1 and 2 -
At least with the 34 hour restart, youd only have to sit 10 hours on day 10 before you could drive.
