I survived passed through 5-6 check points got waved through. Pays to have a clean truck, I guess. They opted for the clunky older trucks that were behind me every time. This was over the course of all three days.

Any time I pass through a checkpoint or weigh station where the DOT stand outside and "randomly" wave us in for a level 1/2/3, I flip on all my lights and 4 ways unless there's a sign that reads "turn off headlights"

I had about a million bugs splattered all over my truck and got the wave through, so I guess new trucks don't even have to be clean to get a pass.

Don't those headlights take up a lot of room in a toolbox?

I actually got told to park it one time doing that as the trooper thought I had a short in my wiring. I was like I turned them on for you lol. I got a clean inspection and $100 from the company for that.
