First I"d like to address the "ownership" subject, Why Lease in the first place, leasing takes away any responsibilty of ownership or lilibilty ,if a branch of Modern fails , "Cozzins" the owner merely writes it off, turns the trucks in according to his needs,he'll hire some people to retreve his trailers ,case closed. As far as the " green road " is concerned, I've been trying to deal with how this system operates for sometime, I like may of my co workers find it almost impossible to stay within the guidelines of this system and yet get the job done.We actually had two guys back us up from South Carolina two yrs ago when we got behind, they were screaming ,"how in the hell does Corperate office expect you guys to get 3 loads per night and stay within the guidelines of the system". Then lets take time out to talk about our driving situation , first we are in ACC country, ever heard of UNC Tarheels or Duke University? Thats right we have to drive right smack through that ,46 traffic lights one way, then 46 lights south bound all wrapped in in 74 miles one way ,then we have to neogitate on 85 hwy north and south known as "Death Valley" where the posted speed limit is 70 plus mph, then lets look at the fact we're in the middle of NASCAR Country, these folks only understand turning left, swapping paint, and tearing off mirrors, and I'm not going to tell you what the cars are doing

Let's see now, 3 loads at $58. per load, in say, 12.5hrs, that's 13.92 an hour. What's wrong with that? That's a lot of money for just hauling 80,000 lbs of aggregate at 62 mph in traffic wanting to go 70mph. Easy Peasy! I mean, what do you want? $15 an hour? Hey, it isn't like it's a hard job like, say, flipping burgers...:p

Man, there's got to be a better company position out there for an experienced, clean record driver.
