Nope, can't have him back. We might pick on him a little bit...but we're gonna keep him. You are right he has a great attitude and looks on the bright side. A little bit of time, a little bit of shared knowledge and a little bit more experience is all that it's going to take.

You folks have a great family here, great to see. I follow along with you all even though I work at Abilene. I enjoy seeing how things work with a positive group of folks. But now, back to my regular scheduled group. Be safe all, God bless.

Thanks for the kind words JB and HTQ. Those are ultimate compliments. Its making the struggles worthwhile knowing I have great support in my corner. I must admit I am self reliant and stubborn as a Basset Hound (use to have two) but I need to realize I cannot do this alone. Thanks for being there!!

Good second week. Almost 2900 miles. I'll take it. Hell, I NEED it. TransAm is agreeing with me so far.

    HTQ,
Every time I look at the weather map, and see storms in your area, I will think of you and hope all is well!
GEORGE IS HOME FOR GOOD AND I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER!
We said we would take it day by day...and trucking is just not for us.
I must say, everyone on this forum has been so SUPPORTIVE AND HELPFUL, I WILL ALWAYS BE GRATEFUL.
When I was about to cry, Cranky Yankee would post something and make me laugh instead.
What a great bunch of people you are, and I will never forget any of you.
George says thanks too...he gave it his best shot, but is grateful to be home.
We will keep in touch. Joy Livingston:smt049:smt049:smt049:3some::love8::love6::smt060:smt058

Best of luck to you both, oliver2 and George! Praying things will work out that George will find his niche. It is hard on a marriage with your spouse on the road. It's probably somewhat difficult for the ones driving being away from their spouse and family too. I know I sure do miss my husband, also George, when he's gone. Again, best of luck.

George, enjoy that hometime, make sure you don't overdo it with Karens honey do list. If you need some pointers on dealing with it let me know, I have years of experience dealing with Lesli's list when I get home, usually go out for therapy via the motorcycle.

oliver2, you have been in my thoughts! I am so happy for both of you! George did well while he was OTR and that experience is never a waste of time. All things bring you to where you need to be and the road George traveled brought him back home.
You are so right about our Cranky Yankee.....I have to check the thread every few hours to see what he is up to:biggrin_25525: and to get my daily dose of laughter. Pete has a way of putting everything in perspective. He and Panhandle are pretty good at putting me in my place and not letting me take myself too seriously!:biggrin_25523::biggrin_2559:
Please stay in touch and post here as you can ....you and George are still part of this thread! (Did I ever tell you that I have many Livingston cousins in Florida? I have lost track of them over the years)
Many happy thoughts and good wishes being sent your way!

    oliver2 Thanks this.

Ok, I found the King's old notebooks ....unfortunately he had a one word description for most of the places in New Jersey....and it is....well, ummm....unprintable....it would get me in trouble here!:biggrin_25517:

Here is a beginning list....any of them ring a bell?

Southern Perishable Meat, 5000 Riverside Drive in Keasbey
Edison Wholesale, 30 Clearview Road, Edison
Whitlock Packaging, 92 N. Main Street, Wharton
    Jetro, 3562 Rt. 66, Neptune

Yes !!!!! There is one major cause for most of these accidents. Govt , university, insurance studies prior to the FMCSA Bull hockey showed that Between 85% & 88% of car truck accidents were caused by the car driver.
However , in my opinion we are to be blamed as they think truck drivers don't vote nor have good sense..
The to much government idiots now in DC hope you don't know this. They hope you don't contact your elected officials in DC telling them about how trucking really is and how much worse off it is now with the New HOS.

    HometimeQueen Thanks this.
