    I would imagine if your comfortable with driving there you could do well. A lot of guys dodge it like the plague. Progressive will probably be your main option but call different agents for quotes. I am upstate but ended up getting mine for $5500/yr but other qoutes were much higher for the same policy.

    You're going to pay out your nose for insurance based in NYC or LI.

    just talked to one of progressive agent.
    I got cleaned mvr. not good dac.
    I think I may have clean psp.
    but
    he mentioned $36000 right away and then I hanged up on him.
    sad right?

    OOIDA should do you. Long as you have 2+ yrs. We are based out of NYC, but will change to Alabama and try to find a new insurance company. OOIDA has been great for my dad over the years, but they aren't giving me any leeway so I can run solo. If you can obtain a NYS address (relatives or friends) then your insurance would be cheaper since you wouldn't be based out of NYC.
