I've been following you for a while Jar-Head. On your other Thread Landstar vs Schneider Choice. I pulled for Schneider back in 06 and early 07 then signed on with Crete Carriers. The grass is greener..I know. Crete had for their OTR guys a load choice option that you could pick from up to 3 loads offerings within a certain mile radius depending on freight volume/HOS. The OTR guys loved it and it really gave them that extra freedom and I'm not wondering if this is the same kind of model that Schneider is looking into.

    Good luck with Schneider Choice!

Subbed!(another one, I'm already going to be an hour later from all the other ones lol)
I wonder how the choice for company guys would go. What would they do will all those relays? I have been seeing more and more "Schneider Logistics" warehouses.

No offence but your experience is going to be the same as the rest of us. The only difference will be that you won't have high lease payments. Your either allready payed off or you have only a low monthly payment meaning the the only difference higher take home. $

I heard the age of your truck has to be 10 years or less. And then heard if in good shape SNI will accept an older truck.
What is SNI's official requirement on this?

Not to exceed 10 years old at the time the lease is signed.

The truck must be able to accept the ELOG and have an ECM I saw a 1998 KW at the hotel leased to SNI on choice he was just hanging out for a reset and he explained that to me . It's obviously true cause the truck looked like a 1998 meaning it had the wear and rust etc but he was in the process of fixing it up but none the less it's leased onto SNI .

So I'm thinking that as long as it will pass a DOT and has a ECM for ELOGS you'll be fine.

This is true. He will also not have to put up with as much crap from his ICA because he doesn't have the specter of Schneider finance hanging over his head. He will also find a lower level of support from his "team" when they realize this fact. Yesterday I had a 2.5 hr trailer search that made me late for picking up my load today. I called them as soon as I knew. I was told all of the choice drivers had trip planning problems. My word of advice, there are a few good people in the office but don't expect a mutual business partnership. They still see it as an employer/employee relationship.
