. I may have dozed off....translation... I fell asleep. Have I been tired when driving yes. Have I fallen asleep while driving? Nope. Why? Because I pulled off the road. I am not every driver out there but I'm not spending a portion of my life in prison because a customer does not keep enough material on hand to cover a truck being late. If you want/need the product that bad, then stay open later to get it. I turn the key, not my fm, not the CSRs, I turn the key and decide to drive.

OMG, please tell me you not a Maverick trainer, or driver[/QUOTE]
Actually im both. Just because I choose to not opinionate on a subject does not mean I don't know what I would do in any given situation.
Are you a student? Don't be that guy that knows everything. No pun intended. Learn something new everyday from anyone and everyone.
for lack of words, I'm not that driver nor have I talked to him personally. It's just like an airplane with on board recorders. If I seen data from recorder then I might comment but I refuse to believe the circumstantial media.
If you are unsafe in any fashion get off the road. Just as sarge says...YOU turn the key. No one else!Last edited: Jun 9, 2014

It depends on what you are doing. Most time, when stopped, is logged off duty. Should he have pulled over? Apparently, yes he should have if what is being reported is true. Heck, even it's not. It would have put him at that location at a different time.
If you are away from truck and not working it is simply off-duty not driving. If you're in the bunk it's off-duty sleeper birth. Not only is your safety at risk in certain situations but everyone around you. Just be safe and keep everyone else safe. -

Here is an update. I received a call today from my recruiter and they had a glass student position come available for this Sunday's orientation class (6-14-14). So I will be headed to the Rock on Saturday to be prepared for Sunday morning. Since I will be going in the Glass Division, moving forward I will continue to post my updates in the "Haulin Glass" thread (for anybody who is interested). I know there have been many that have posted their time at the Rock and during their training, but I figured I would do the same since everyone has a different outlook or expectations. I will try to keep things updated as much as possible and add any good pics along the way. Thanks again to all who have shared their experiences (JimTheHut, Sarge26044 and Blind Dog just to name a few) because it has been a great attribute not only with me but with several others in the decision to go with Maverick. Be safe.
