The thing about it is. The Government, the news media, the public and most truckers have already hung this guy out to dry without completle knowledge of what really happened. Any of you there, did you see the crash as it happened? No,then you dont know who hit who or why so why are you jumping on the....lets linch a trucker boat with the rest of the trucking hating PC nutjobs!!!

Walmart has already said He was running by the book and that should be enough for drivers right now and yet you guys still want to condemn Him and Walmart. Way to go,hope you are proud of youself!

On that I agree. You also don't have to look far into aviation crash analysis to see that only a minuscule number of them are isolated events. That is, one single catastrophic event with absolutely no contributing factors leading up to it.

There is almost always a chain of risky decisions or actions that end with the crash event. In most cases, if one link in that chain is resolved, the crash likely doesn't happen. More on the topic from AOPA.

I'm certain that if the media and the NJ prosecutor would hold off choosing a hanging tree for the driver and look into this, they might have a few more defendants sitting in court for trial.

I find it interesting that here in this same sub-forum, we read about trucks rear-ending other vehicles and causing fatalities in all sorts of conditions on an all-to-regular basis. But I don't recall ever seeing manslaughter charges being filed, especially so quickly. Is the celebrity status what's driving this? "Walmart"? Or something else?

This same type accident happens every day but not this combination celebrity versus Wallyworld. Large sums of cash surely too change hands.

You need look no further than wally for a very large pool of workers who spend way less than 40 hours working per week. The American business model sees that workers get 40 or less with todays overtime laws. You forget that since most truckers never see it.LOL

40 pages started 3 days ago and this thread is still going strong.Reminds me of that Navajo thread about a student that got stranded by her trainer.Right now im more concerned how Tracy and all the others in the hospital are doing.

Thanks patty, the latest on Google news said, rumors flew about Tracy having a leg amputated, but were false and is doing better. The family of the person killed, not so much, and the poor driver, man, my heart just goes out to him.
