Don't know if this has been posted yet on this thread but the Diane Rehm show on NPR will discuss HOS @ 10am eastern tomorrow 6/11/14 in light of this recent accident. She puts together a great show and always gives all sides the ability to discuss their positions in a calm manner. Should be a good one.

IM sure Mr Roper will appreciate the fact that I have found him on twitter. And then as usual, I was very polite....

He blocked me on twitter. Oops. If he had been, of I don't know? Humbled by what happened, I would have said nothing. Blaming his accident on the media and saying he did nothing wrong and all that, he got what I gave him. He deserves every second of jail time he gets. Apparently Walmart didn't send his lawyers to shut him up. He hung himself today by his social media "skills".

joseph1135 Thanks this.

Joseph1135 take it easy man your too into this. If you listen to Sirius radio they had a lawyer on today that said it was probably a politically motivated charge that more than likely will hold no weight in court. After all it's still an accident. Unless the prosecutor can prove that he set out to kill someone that day. The media has turned this into a circus and we will have to sit back and see what happens.

Am I the only one that tends to believe this driver?
Now don't get me wrong I do think he is to blame for the accident and the outcome.
What I think is suspicious it that we hear that this driver has been up for 24 hours at the time of the accident. Is it a coincidence that New Jersey is just about the only state with a law that makes it illegal to drive after being up for 24 hours? I tend to think not. Just how out of no where does the number 24 magically come up? I have never known Walmart to plan loads that would require working straight through the day; very unlike Walmart planning. The qualcom in that truck would have flagged the problem some 10 hours ago and had Walmart known they would have let that drive hang.
I tend to think some prosecutor is over zealous. It is possible he spent the whole night without sleep and admitted it but I tend to doubt it.gpsman, Lux Prometheus, Lepton1 and 1 other person Thank this.
