Heading For Little Rock! Maverick

Hey Jim, I started reading your thread when you started with Maverick, I'm also looking at Maverick, Melton and TMC, I wanted to ask was this your first trucking job going with Maverick? I'm 58 but in realgood physical condition so I know I can do this type of work, I guess you like it if you've been with them the whole time. And Yes OLD GUY'S RULE!

 

. Choice is yours. If the biggest worry of yours is forgetting how to manually shift. Here's a question for you. Do you know how to ride a bicycle? When was the last time you rode a bicycle? 1 year, 5 years, 10 years, etc. If you had to ride a bicycle tomorrow, would you have no clue how to do it? Or just be a bit wobbly at first? Manual shifting, same thing no matter how long its been since you drove one, you'd just be a bit wobbly at first.

Retired Military here!! Put in my App with Maverick and was wondering if anyone can give me a response time on hearing back from the. Any help would be greatly appreciative.

 

The recruiters say it takes 5-7 business days until they can give you an answer but that depends on several things. How quick they get back all your background info (if everything is good it is usually pretty quick) along with how your previous employers response back to Maverick. If you are retired military it should not take them very long. It took them only a couple days to get mine completed. If you get approved, the longer wait is just getting set up for orientation. Sometimes it is a week or two or some have had to wait up to six or seven weeks to get into orientation. I was very lucky and only had to wait a couple of weeks. Good luck to you and hopefully if this is what you are wanting to do it all works out great.
