What does everyone out there use? Why? I'm looking for software to look after me and 1 driver.

Are you doing your own accounting, or are you really bookkeeping for your accountant? If the former, my recommendation is for Quickbooks. If the latter, then whatever your accountant suggests might be easiest.

Thanks for the response guys. It will be just 1 truck with myself and another driver sharing it (4 on 4 off). Just doing basic bookkeeping and having an accountant doing year end.

I use Ubuntu (OS) and Manager (software package) both free. You can also use gnucash; it exports as QIF files so you and your accountant can play nice at the end of the year.

I just started using Profit Gauges, very easy to use, provides good reports. How do you pay? Miles, hours, ?

Sage (Simply) Quicken or Great Plains will do the job very well at a low cost.

After some research and recommendations, I'm going to go with Sage. Thanks Prairie Boy!
