Nothing yet. Got offers at big TL carriers but not sure if I want to do that again. Like my hometime more than being on the road so looking for more local stuff.

Yesterday I saw ABF when I pulled into the yard but they were gone when I got over to the grass in front of Subaru. Also had Estes, NFI, Hermann and Hartt. Plus there are flyers on the door at Westampton with numbers to call for Bradway, Raven, Trinity and Super Service.

It's called the WARN ACT but these companies get around it all the time. Big business+Big money= above the law. Regular employees don't matter. That's why we need to band together one day.

I'm confused. Western Freightways is still advertising they are hiring drivers. They were acquired by New Century. I mean they are advertising as of 1 hour ago on twitter.

Has New Century had a rash of serious crashes lately? I know they haul a lot of hazmat and 2 or 3 serious crashes inside of 18 months for a mid-size carrier, that may involve hazmat can be difficult to weather financially, especially if they were paying high-risk liability premiums with wildly huge deductibles. But I suspect it's just poor cash management and a weak receivables is the bottom line.

It was the management. You know how they like to run companies to the ground.

Yeah some of them. You figured once they run one company into the ground it would be tough to get another job.

You kidding??? Lol. After the Arrow debacle, people were knocking down Pielsticker's door to bring him on. I'm not even close to kidding.
