The runs I did pull for this acct were actually pretty nice. Loads were always ready ontime, or preloaded. Plenty of time to get where ever, if multi-stop, you have the ability to go into the store while they unload ya, grab a lunch, watch some TV in their in store Deli's, and some other things. My only complaint was that the trailers/equipment/reefers were older than my cat (20 years old). But when I departed USX, they were in the process of replacing the trailers. I dont know if that ever panned out completely thou.
Their dispatching system for this acct was weird thou. But I was a regular USX employee, just filling in for a guy that had a family emergency. So I dont know if it would be the same thing or not. -
Anyone know the requirements for the Kroger or Meijer dedicated account. I Live in the Dayton Oh area and quit U.S.X. in late April and they have called and sent postcards asking me to come back. I quit shortly after my team partner did. He couldn't stand being away from his wife and kids for so long. I knew I wouldn't make much as a solo Otr there either. I thought I had a local job lined up but it fell through.

so are you saying you have to be a team to make money with this company ?
-
From what the recruiter told me recently, you have to be team to drive for this company unless you live east of I-83.
-
anyone knows there home time policy. Im looking for a company that i could get home on weekends or 7-10 days in North Carolina
-
Weekends you need to go local or some flatbeds do that but plan on being out at least 10-14 days with most OTR companies. You may find some regionals that may get you by the house more often. Good luck to you.

I guess the only offer US Xpress has for me is out 10 days in 2 from what they say. Has anyone drove regional for them here!
