Giltner, Inc, out of Jerome, ID., now claims, 2 years after delivery, that they dont have the original proof of delivery for 3 deliveries and informed me of this and deducted it from final pay only upon me quiting. I gave 2 weeks notice and never saw another dime from them. We drop loaded trailers and the unsigned paperwork with the trailer at Sysco and never see proof of delivery on these orders. When I applied for another driving job elsewhere, that prospective employer said giltner put on my DAC that I owe giltner money. I now cant find a driving job, any idea on how to fix this appreciated.
Giltner, Inc., out of Idaho "lost" my proofs of delivery & deducted them from my pay

Try to get DAC to remove the accusation, or direct your prospective employer to the numerous posts on various sites that show how frequent they do this to their drivers. Come up with a list of website links to these posts/threads. I guess it's worth a try...

Giltner must be hanging on by a thread. I can't see them continuing past the summer with everything that's going on.

Dac will remove all disputed information ...truck companies no longer have credibilty .....i know this because i sued Dac and transforce for slander ....btw dac changed their name to Hire Right ....these trucking companie want to use Dac systems as a weapon against the driver ....little do they know we have weapons also if we chose to stoop so low
....for example do you realize what a gallon of anti freeze will do to a desiel engine ? ...that truck will run for about two wks and then seize up ...opps blown engine ...and theres lots more destructive costly weapons ...i once saw a driver put half a fleet of trucks down with tobacco in the fuel tanks ....one driver put down 60 trucks in one day ! ....and walked away walked away scott free ....the company lost their FORD MOTOR CO. milk runs because they were shorting drivers on their pay checks ....maybe i should post a thread on all the weapons a driver has to hurt a company and shut them down for good in some cases ....if they want to play dirty we also can play dirty!!!!Lenham Thanks this. -
Bad idea. There are too many out there that would misuse the info and actually hurt innocent people. Besides some of these complaints need to be addressed to a mirror and not the company. Someone with a bad attitude can hurt an otherwise very good company and every driver that now can not work.Shadox Thanks this.

Has to be more..
drop a loaded trailer at Sysco, they run it to the dock, unload it, sell the product, put empty trailer on line, another driver picks up empty..
company should have a record of picking up an empty at Sysco. Sysco should have paperwork showing product received.
So they are deducting the cost of the trailer and the product?
Hire Right - File a report, company in question has 30 days to respond, if not, HireRight has to drop it off your DAC. Go in detail on dates, trailer numbers, time(s) dropped and how paperwork was handled.

That is one of the most disturbing things I have read on this forum. You are encouraging vandalizing trucks because you think it is about getting even? What about the drivers of those trucks that are going to be out out of work because of your vendetta? Did you take the time to think about that? What about you own self respect? There are other ways to fight injustices without turning to criminal behavior driver. If you decide to participate in this then you are no better than the companies who wronged you. I see you have been trucking for 29 years (according to your profile) After all of these years that is your solution to the issue? Maybe it is time for you to retire from trucking if your attitude has become that toxic. When you suggest these things it makes all of us look bad. Lastly, I am sure the moderators on this site do not appreciate your using this forum to to encourage criminal behavior...Just sayin'Last edited: Jun 14, 2014

You can call HireRight and request an appeal. You can do it online or by mail. Giltner will be given a few days to respond to your request and they have to show proof. If they are unable to, HireRight will remove it from your DAC report. I agree that if what you are saying is true, it was a petty move on Giltner's part to report it the way they did. Good Luck!
