I did look this company up earlier. I have the info ready for him when he comes home. Thanks! I'll update later and if he decides to go with this company, will you get a referral bonus? If so, then I will get your name later to pass on so you can collect.
Anyone that leaves messages about companies, we are willing to pass on names so you can get the referral bonus if the company he chooses, offers the bonuses. -
You'll hear "bad things" about every company. Don't pay them no nevermind. Conway Truckload is a good company. One of the highest retention rates in the USA, which actually does mean something. Yes drive solo, yes have ride-along, yes, start above $.32 with a minimum of experience. After 13 mos with a mega, I drove for them as a company driver for 3 months, bought a Freightliner and now about 15 months of IC work. I take some loads I don't like that much, I get loads that really pay well. The average is good enough to be high on driver retention in an industry where annual churn (turnover) is above 100%. Conway never plays games with your pay, you'll average around 2,800 - 3,000 miles/week solo. Company drivers have to deal with forced dispatch, which just means you go where they send you unless you're dying or something...can't say no unless you have a really good, valid reason or you're an IC. Just for laughs: I got a full PM w/air filter at Joplin for under $150. Saved me about $175 right there. I enjoy working for Conway Truckload. I like to work, I like miles, and I don't like saying no to miles.bettylee1204 and joseph1135 Thank this.

Conway is a good company. There's a lot of BS by disgruntled employee(s) but most you talk to are pretty happy.
bettylee1204 Thanks this. -
How far is he willing to drive to get to the terminal? Stone mountain is only about 1 1/2 hours from here in my truck (68mph). You can choose home every night, home every other night, or OTR which is monday-friday. All divisions are off every weekend. If he is willing to drive 1 1/2 to get here (can't take trucks home) then I can send you the info.
bettylee1204 Thanks this. -
We don'y have a car right now, so that wouldn't work. Thx tho.
