Tank washes wouldn't even dent the revenue stream.
I've seen what non-haz pays alone..I hauled for Matlack back in the day when hazmat paid well.
They were holding back..way back then(90,s).

I won't beat a dead horse..let's just wait and see.

Just for example..look what has loads pay on choice now.
    Not even worth hauling..just saying.

Language problems aside, I am following this thread with great interest. I am actually leaning more towards LandStar or I might just drive to Odessa and work in the oil hahahha. I still love learning though, and I've really gleaned much from the 22 pages so far. Keep it up!

if you go to the OWNER OPERATOR section of the forum you'll see a thread I started called SNI CHOICE vs LANDSTAR . It takes you through the differences of each company and also highlights why I ended up picking SNI CHOICE over LS

    Hope you find it useful

I read many of these type threads and quite often it seems someone traveling not where they desire and today is no different. "CHOICE" has a broad definition.

Again like was stated. Bulk at this time doesn't offer the choice board. If Beedubya had read what I posted he would have seen that I stated milage pay makes loads like this possible and actually profitable. No where did I complain about the extra dead head miles.

Reading is fundamentally important. I actually have said because of the nature of Bulk, a choice board may not be feasible at this time. Percentage pay on the other hand is a viable alternative if it were offered as compensation.

If you travel into an area you don't want to that's the CHOICE you made . THE CHOICE PROGRAM is a load board in which you book your loads off YOUR OWN CRITERIA .

CHOICE in this program = YOU BOOK YOUR OWN FREIGHT .. Therefore if you get mad you need to contact your dispatcher and FIRE AWAY ... by the way ( that's you ) so choice is exactly that you make the choice ..

the oddest thing, Moose, is that if I run a hard 7 days, I'll do $1500-1600.
I can run 5, play with Miss Hazel for a day or two, and do $1200. It's a work / life balance

Exactly why I stated "Please Correct me if I am wrong". Your statement indicated nothing but what is above. It was in a later post that you identified you run as a mileage abed run.

I meant no disrespect, just saying that with the choice program a driver would have had the opportunity to select a load bringing him back or at the least closer to home. In my opinion the IC Choice program looks very interesting and is a strong possibility in my own search for a place to land. Perhaps there are better opportunities out there, I will find the best opportunity for me and my situation, I have ample time!

    LOGS FOR CLASS
    HOW TO LOG CLASS TIME

As I said I was going to do an update on LOGGING CLASS ROOM TIME and how its expected to be done . There was one change made in my class and as its not a huge deal you will need to know this information .

Logs in class are simple ... its ALL ON DUTY except the ROAD TEST in which you log your DRIVE TIME and PRE and POST

The logs are PAPER LOGS ( as you know ) and they DO COUNT AGAINST YOUR 70 for load booking purposes or empty searches.

The new change was previously you were able to NOT LOG - DAY 4 of load board training and could start your reset depending on your last 7 days prior or 168 hr requirements. HOWEVER - You now must log DAY 4 and hence your reset if you opt to take one will now not end until SATURDAY and not FRIDAY any longer .

Like I said not a huge deal but information you may want to know ...

    LINE # 5 REQUIREMENTS

Every one knows how to use line 5. SNI wants you to fully understand that if you book a load that going to get that trailer you are UNDER DISPATCH and CANNOT use line 5 . Just keep that in mind when you book your loads from home as you are required to show that time as DRIVE TIME .

    DON'T DO IT .... DON'T EVEN TRY

To unplug your Qualcomm to run HOT, ILLEGAL or GET TO THE NEXT TRUCK STOP..... They will drop you like a bad habbit cause they have a NO TOLERANCE POLICY for LOG FALSIFICATIONS .... NONE AT ALL...

If your unit malfunctions you will need to call in and get your last log update and start a paper log for the day. DONT MAKE THE MISTAKE of cheating on your logs...

IT MAY GET YOU DOWN THE ROAD A LITTLE FARTHER THAT DAY ... But tomorrow you wont have a LEASE

    SAFETY FIRST !!!!

PRE TRIP & POST TRIP INSPECTIONS

SNI requires a pretrip and posttrip and the log caculates in 5 minute increments so your minimal inspections must be 5 minutes but LOG IT AS YOU DO IT .. and you will be fine ... This is also true for trailer swaps PRE TRIP and POST TRIP them.

    APPROVE YOUR LOGS DAILY !!

This goes with out saying do this every night on the EOBR LOGS .

THIS HAS BEEN YOUR LOG UPDATE BY THE MARINE ...

Hope you found the information useful.
