This is an old issue with Peoplenet that I had heard from a fellow using e-logs, being given a 14 hour violation for doing his inspection after the 14 expired, we all know you can work after the 14 , just not drive, right?
My Peoplenet experience today.

I've tried to send PeopleNet requests and suggestions for improving PNet, VIA the PNet itself, to no avail. Simple stuff, like under DRIVER'S LOG you scroll down to view and select START/STOP. It always shows the start/stop info OLDEST FIRST, which goes back about 6 days That's a heck of a lot of start/stops. You have to push the DOWNWARD button about 160 times to scroll down to the NEWEST start/stop data. The downward button won't let you hold it down to scroll quickly. You have to push to the button ONCE each time. All I suggested was that PeopleNet change the start/stop to show NEWEST DATA FIRST, not last. That way we driver's can access the data quickly. The start/stop data is collected and displayed every time we set the brakes or release them.

I just tried the link and got an error. From now on I'll give the carrier DOT number . This was Quality Carriers Dot #076600 . This link should work. http://www.safersys.org/CompanySnapshot.aspx
This is a carrier on e-logs . The three right columns are number of violations , number of OOS violations , and violation weight.

Thought e-logs were the magic fix for form and manner.
And HOW can you NOT have 7 days logs with you???. -
Some drivers have e-logs "malfunction". A problem I saw with the Xata e-logs was logging in to start the day and getting a message "retrieving company fleet" . This would be in a location where the unit couldn't get a connection signal. The only option was to begin moving and hope to pick up a signal. Oddly enough one of these locations was QC's Calvert City , KY terminal. Usually drivers would have to drive a mile or 2 down the road to log in.
Often I would not log out when going off duty if I thought there was a possibility I wouldn't be able to log in. -
I have run a Qualcomm.
-
I've had the same thing happen with PNet, RickG. Can't log in when there isn't any signal.
-
So if you can't log in you can't show the past 7 day logs.

am a new driver and new to people net. I was wondering about the driver personal email. I assume it is via the personal freeform under the mail option. My question is what address can family send to?
Have a answer to the break question. Pnet measures the break from when the truck stops moving and stops when it rolls again, over a threshold set by your company. I think it is 10mph with me. Can check time you have stopped in view hours section. And with regard to docking you 5 mins with auto duty change. It will start your drive time when the vehicle started moving not when it beeps to let you know it is doing it. Same with auto to on duty. It will not move to off duty, driver must do that. That's why I try to do all duty status manually so I won't forget the things that aren't automatic.
