Trans south, big G, Navajo,, some bigger outfits Knight, Stevens. I forget who else. They do want clean records. They are looking to poach drivers and not have to pay for training. Not sure why youths think otherwise. I am not much for insulting.

Heartland Express claims to pay OK. They want nine months. Might be worth checking out.
Gordon wants a year, but pay only .34 *if* you run reefer. (In other words, less than May).
I may call Interstate. They claim that they have new rates, but I haven't pressed them.
The company that I want requires two years.
Believe me, I am looking at every truck, looking for my new home.
Thanks Secorp for naming some. Appreciated. -
Are you looking to move up? Those companies aren't any better than May.
When were you planning to make the move? -
I am looking for more hometime, primarily. I may focus on grocery companies in order to make that happen. May has been very good to me, but every now and again they do something stupid that makes me seethe and vow to move on...

If your pay rate is at .35 become a trainer you be at .45
-
They already tried to recruit me. I wouldn't be a trainer for $1.00 extra a mile!
blwjr Thanks this. -
We saw the May recruiter today, it sounded good overall, and this thread helps alot with information. I appreciate the effort, bigdogg.

For what it's worth, I still think that I made the right choice in choosing May right out of school. It's a training company, as everybody keeps repeating (ad nauseum) and that is what you get.
With the 90/90 option, you will earn more during the first month than without it. (During the first month, no matter how macho you think you are, you will be exceptionally slow and stupid. After that, you will be faster and you may in fact make more doing CPM, especially if you are driving '11 Western')
Personally, I think that the flat rate pay system is rigged. -
