Stopped 4 hrs from receiver yesterday hoping I could go in early. Have a 1430 apt. Called yesterday and was told maybe, maybe, they could get me in early but it still may be 1430. Didn't want to leave at 0300 to get there when they opened with my 14 hr clock running. If they didn't get me in early, I'd only have a couple hrs, if that, to get to my new load. So going to get there around noon. No word on my next load yet. Hoping for a Waterbury to Henderson run.
I love driving 3000 miles with my Qualcomm going off twice, for fleet messages... my absolute favorite perk about this company

Got my next load, saint albany to Henderson. Pick up at 1845, glad I didn't start at 0300..

Spent 5 hours in St Albans getting loaded. For those of you who have been there, do you take 87 almost to Canada then across to 89 south, or take 22a to us7 and 89 north? That's my first run into there. I decided to avoid all the little towns and secondary roads and took 87.
-
I take the 87. I think you did it right. That 7 is a ball buster 45 mph. But leaving I take the 11 it's a beautiful ride. I have been up there several times.

Looks like Spain is getting their ##### handed to them by Chili. Satellite radio reception absolutely sucks in Alaska. Missed the Germany game
-
It is over for Spain.
-
I always took the 87 too. Could see the border crossing just as you made your left turn.
-
Yep, I took 11 across in and out. I got a text msg from Verizon telling me what the Canadian rates were. I figured the other way would take the same amount of time, even if it is substantially ahorter. There were 4 other Holland trucks at that truck stop where I scaled.

Got a few pallets of Ice Cream from Marshall MN to SLC.
7k lb.
Paying for it with this load Clearfield UT to PA.
Screwed up on Fuel so was almost full when I scaled it.
And I have a 13x.
Knew for sure I would be over.. Guess I lucked out.
79920.
How about Spain... And England..
Oh Italy lost today as well.
Crazy World Cup so far. -
I had to turn in my truck, since getting back in my repaired knee has been quite painful. While on my short time home I was able to get into my surgeon. His advice was to have more therapy and take it easy for a while. I also had a load from Versacold to Safeway Tracy. Then home for 24hrs, then picked up a load in Newman, CA at Saputo Cheese and relayed with a driver in Cheyenne. Took his empty to Ft. Collins Budweiser to Grand Forks, ND and then back to yard. I had no complaints except for the extremely high cost of benefits. I wouldn't mind going back and Denzil said I was more than welcome to.
