Well i got into PTL... I start next weds the 25th and i leave the 23 monday. I am so excited to start a new CAREER on a new page of my life.... ANY tips about what to bring(such as food, supplies, toiletries, clothes) would be much appreciated... any suggestions as far what to wear?( what sort of dress code if any) what are the sleeping/shower/eating arrangements? anything that could help me out.... Im on a tight budget(obviuosly with no job) and kentucky is a long way from home(which is 100% is fine with me...not a big fan of new jersey) however getting funds and etc will be tough... Once again thanks for the feedback i really do appreciate it

They'll put you in a hotel, meals covered. You get paid (150 iirc) for the orientation. Clothes: ymmv, but nice pair of jeans and a polo should be fine. I've seen some guys who said t-shirts after the first day. Your trainer for phase 1 will have most gear covered, you'll need some cash for groceries, but hard to say what until you see how the truck is setup. PTL has APUs in their trucks, but idk if there will be a fridge available or not. Sleeping bag, pillow, toiletries. Another user has a PTL blog, their handle is RCD127; I suggest you read, will tell you everything you need to know, and pretty informative about the day to day there...

As just_the posted, a sleeping bag and pillow; no sheets.
Since money is tight, take some Ramen Noodles, instant coffee, beenie weenies, etc. because truck stop food is very expensive. You can use the hot water and microwave in the truckstops for free.just_the, OPUS 7, 70s_driver and 1 other person Thank this. -
for attire, bring a skin tight black mini skirt, fishnet stockings, red 3 inch pump, old 80s style haltertop,to cover those hormone enlarged man tops, blond wig in curlers..and..oh nevermind,my attire might not be the same as yours..

You will get 75 on comdata end of first week and 75 after you get your first load so depends can be 150 by friday no dress code but be presentable you get alot more respect at shippers a twin or full sheet is fine for your bed and def look at the list of items above fruits and peanut butter and bread is cheap and not fatty way to survive until you getting paid.
DMungioli36 Thanks this. -
Day 1 you'll be told when they come to the hotel to pick you up if you aren't wearing jeans then go back to your room & put them on. So take a pair of jeans & wear em. Once orientation is over you can wear shorts but be presentable & clean in your attire. But be certain you have those jeans. They are a stickler for that.
