It's funny, I didn't get Cascadia training when they gave me mine. I just jumped in and off I went. Kinda ridiculous that they are being sticklers about that, it's not rocket science.

You should push for breakdown pay at the very least.

When I got my first cascadia after starting out with a century they had me watch a video about def/regens etc., and then an osr showed me some stuff that differed from my old truck to the new. took an hour max.

with the auto i think they have you go on a drive with an osr so they can show you how to use it, and there is a video as well. but those autos are easy to understand.

Regardless, not fair to you to be sitting and not getting paid at all when you have made an effort to get a loaner truck and keep moving, so make sure you are compensated, regardless if you are at home or not.

You need to be frank with your DBL and tell him/her that no pay is unacceptable. It's entirely up to your DBL if you get layover/breakdown pay. Now if this was regularly scheduled home time, then no you wont ever be paid for that. But I have been home for layovers and breakdowns and paid for all (just not TAH).

Well they got me a truck apparently I am going to go to the terminal here in a bit to find it it's technically a loaner until I get my home time on the 3rd but the guy resigned yesterday so they don't need the truck back right away

I have gotten breakdown psy at my home terminal. If you're ready to go and you cant because of broken equipment, how is that your fault? They must have the worst mechanics there!
