Enrolled with Dootson School of Trucking.

Mind if I ask which "package" you went with? I ask because if I ever do get my license, I don't want to cross Dootson on my list right away. It's probably the easiest around. When I went there for my first lesson, I wasn't aware the 160 hour recommendation was a big deal. Did they mention to you if any of their packages are an equivalent to 160 hours? I never added up the hours and need to go hunt down the paper with the different packages and hours. I've read different stories about people on here who have attended Dootson and were hired by Schneider and others who Schneider turned down. And I know we don't have 100% of the full story and most likely something in their background kept them from getting hired and not the school they went to.

 

******, sorry to hear that. Any alternative? I always liked everything I read about Central Refrigerated and their training program (for a starter company). But that was all before the Swift take-over. Good luck.
