With dash cams becoming more common there will be less of these idiots around cause when word starts to get around we have video they will try something else. Happy the King avoided this. Before I left Ny they caught a group of lawyers and Dr.'s in a scheme with illegal aliens doing this. It is called the swoop and dodge or something like that. That group was estimated to have made over a few million doing this. Remember these companies pay out $10,000 plus easy so to these idiots it is easy money but not anymore. Hope they go to jail

 

Not only are these people pure idiots for doing this scam...suicidal as well...hope more truckers are prepared for this ####!

 

North of Wichita KS at the mm65 service plaza. Got an IBC/Tyson load going to the yard in Olathe as another driver will be taking this load back to Ottawa Illinois near his home for hometime. Mine is coming up on Saturday. A load to the southeast, please.

I have never seen the company drivecams in person ...only pictures. If you are looking back at the truck are they readily apparent? The camera the King has is very small...you don't even notice that it is there. The passenger side window is down when they come up beside him, there are two people in the Rover, is it possible that they were looking for a camera before they made their move? It really isn't very hard to find out which companies have the cameras installed .....we've talked about it on here several times and I have seen discussions on other sites.

Swoop and dodge describes what they did perfectly, jaso! The King said that this wasn't the first time these people had done this ....it was too slick. But I never even considered that there could be whole groups of people working together with lawyers and doctors to do this kind of thing. I don't even know what to say about that ....it makes you mad and sad at the same time. I hope these people go to jail too.

You can get some stickers like the ones in the pic below from e-bay (free shipping, lol) for a couple of dollars. I have thought about them more for parking lot security but if you get some large enough, placed in the proper spots, it could help get the word out to fellow drivers as well.

I saw some pictures today, fourteen inches of snow in parts of Utah. Miserable hot and humid in southwest Missouri. ajacks warned me that after all of the rain the last couple of weeks we would get the truly miserable weather....and it has arrived. Can I send it back to Arkansas now ajacks?

The King works for a small old school trucking company now. They have been around a long time. The funny thing was the King proudly showed the company safety director the camera when he got it for Christmas .....and the safety director wasn't enthused about it being in the truck. I am betting that he changes his mind.
