Might want to start reading that stuff in your file a little closer or pay attention in safety classes. Let me say again...May 21st is the start date!!!!! Remember that the DOT is waffling on this also and wal mart is just getting ahead of the curve. ANYWAY YOU CUT IT...IT IS COMING DOWN THE ROAD AT YOU!!!! Start getting ready now! Talk to your safety man to get the direct connection if you doubt me in anyway. Putting off dealing with it could cost you some lost time.... or worse. Excuse me while I go flush this box of chocolate doughnuts:biggrin_2553:

There is no doubt that it is coming down the road, but I have heard of dates of June 1st and July 1st and now May 21st. Yes, I will check with the safety department to see if there is a start date. I know one of our drivers is taking his physical next week and will see how that goes.

Fast update...our two drivers who took physicals this month...they were both given questionnaires and after reviewing them, they were both sent to a sleep clinic. It took three business days to out fit them with cpap machines after one night of testing(get the ideal it was a for gone conclusion they would need them?) then three nights of monitoring and then a trip back to the sleep doctor and a trip to their family doctor for releases from both physicians. Sleep clinic gets a fee for each month of monitoring and submits it to walmart if you do not use it enough each week.

i know this a old post but could some one explain this to me, on how a company can make you show them your private phone records?? i am at a loss trying to figure this out.
post number ten was a long winded about a driver who lost his job because he showed them his phone record.

BTW, went back and got my answer after reading all 20 pages.

interesting thread, i went back and read all 20 pages. i will keep my comments to myself until i get a better understanding of how WM works their fleet.

have been wondering about the inner workings of wally worlds truck fleet. i can say that almost ever WM driver i come across and try to speak with has an attitude.

really strikes me as strange. i guess that could be because we are in the receiving area and it seems most WM employees do not speak freely when at the store.

good luck with your reinstatement gizmo. was a lousy reason to have your whole life turned upside down.

yep where all grumpy with attitudes lol, I have no problem speaking to anyone or answering ones questions. I get asked different stuff all the time.

Very unfortunate for Gizmo especially since he gave them info he didnt even have to give trying to be honest with them. There is zero tolerance for texting thats pretty much with every company.

The cell phone policy is one we have to accept or move on, there are companies with stricter policies then ours. With regulations changing all the time it will probably get even worse. The industry is changing every day.
