Jump on SRT when you graduate. They ALWAYS have openings.

Not the best company in the world to work for. But you'll get miles. And, you'll get home. They'll load you up, right down the road.

    The terminal is in Texarkana.

I thought about them a many of time's but they don't have a school. I'm trying to get on with Prime now sense I really don't have the extra to spare for school. Lucky Prime provide's 3 meal's a day. I already have everything else I need to make it through at least a month or so, like soad, shampoo, deoderant, etc. It's taken a while trying to get these thing's stocked up while still trying to support myself. Tax's hurt me too sense I had to pay in this year. #### 1099:biggrin_25516:.

As for SRT, I know they run Freightliner's but not sure of the engine as well as Utility trailer's with Thermo King unit's. Don't know anything else about them though. Just what I saw of the truck's. But I don't know anything about them. If they sponsered school here in Shreveport then I would be able to go that route. I'll look into their website and snoop around.

Well, scratch that. No way to pay for school and don't have 6 months.

Why? Its easier to have kids and draw a check paid for by the hard working ones in the USA who have self respect...

I don't know how many of the readers are historians but I suspect that most do not have a very good grasp of American history.American history is that of oppression. There has always been an overriding sense that this group or that group is responsible for all that ails us. The present problem with illegals is a case in point. Why does the USA have such a terrible problem with this? In the USA it is not looked upon as being a huge problem if you are employing an illegial alien. Why do we not have this problem in Canada. There are a few reasons. First you cannot get a job in Canada unless you have a social insurance number. You cannot get a drivers license unless you pass the test which requires you to be able to speak fluent English or French, you can not accesss medical care unless you have a medical card which requires that you be at least a landed immergrant. In fact over 98 percent of all illegal immergrants are deportedfrom Canada. I have travelled extensivlly within the USA and there is no question in my mind just why there is such a problem with the Mexican illegal issue. You are really not going to want to hear this but the poor Mezican is the new slave. No rights,no hope, but a really cheap source of labour that can do the jobs that Americans just do not want to do.I got quite a laugh from my youngest son when he became a truck driver. He was delivering mostly to the north east and his observation was that, only Hispanics work in the USA. Everywhere he dropped it was always Hispanics. Farms, Factories, You name it it was Hispanics. The pervailing wisdom is that they do not come to Canada because it's too cold. Well I got to tell you that my wife and I have delivered to the coldest places that you could imagine. In Wa.,N.Y. Mi, and many other states. The fact of the matter is that they know that they will be deported from Canada so what is the point of going there. After many years of using a poor people to oppress it's come back to bite you.

Canada breaks up with no other country until the FederalReserve-WorldBank says so. These banks call all such shots around the globe.

I don't think that it is a deliberate decoupling on Canada's part. The exchange rate is causing huge problems for Canadian producers of all kinds of products. I know a lot of people in the greenhouse buisness and they told me years ago that if the dollar ever reached 90 cents U.S. they were dead. the dollar is on par and these people are having a hard time.I believe we are in for a general slow down in both countries and many people are going to suffer. I do think that it is critical that we remain the best of friends that any problems that we have with each other be worked out to mutual advantage and politicans on both sides of the border refrain from throwing blame on the other. We really have every thing we need in NAFTA and perhaps we should attempt to insulate ourselves to a degree from the ups and downs of the global economy.

There are many on this forum that just plain dislike Canadians. You have probably run into a few. It is sad that they feel the way they do because the two nations have spent most of the time as friends and business partners.

I'm sorry Canuk, I don't want to sound unpatriotic but I've lived in both countries as well and I think the difference is clear. In Canada, the government was too big to begin with after the War of 1812. The Justices of the Peace, the national police system (RCMP) which the States still lacks (and it'll be a HUGE deal when the DHS becomes exactly that), and the idea that a Good Citizen is one that is Taxed heavily and provided for. An Illegal Alien isn't taxed...well guess what, in the United States, a Good Citizen is a Consumer. He spends and purchases goods and services and is also taxed. Each country has it's style and persuasion on how they run their people and that's what makes them different countries.

As far as Mexicans, they're only slaves for the first few months when they stand outside of Home Depot willing to do anything for $20 a day. My mother (in Texas) in law's maid cleans 5 houses a day at $40 per house. Multiply that by 28 days in a month, and remember, no tax. She had a $150,000 house paid in cash (which is like a $350K house in Toronto), and a 2004 Exploder (in 2004)...also cash. This unfortunately, is the growing reality. Who's moving into those foreclosed homes in middle class America? Do the research. Someone has the stats. I hate to spread race fears, but groups are natural and I honestly say both countries have their plusses and minuses. Oppression is everywhere. I had to erase and retype my lines 4 times because I'm afraid someone might not like my political ideas and I might go on some unlikeable "list" somewhere.

Canada and the United States SHOULD NOT uncouple from each other and it won't. I guarantee the Economic Union is near and that we will share the Amero soon enough. This floating of the two fiat currencies, at cents apart is no magical coincidence. Banks of the Federal Reserve and the Bank of Canada are all owned by the same European Banks anyway. The Crown Corporation that owns the Bank of Canada is a "special" one with unlisted owners. Our countries have been united secretly for at least a century or more.

Now, the States should let us sell lumber and beef at its true prices. That's my only complaint. Withour regulation, the United States should accept dips and slowdowns and survive them like any other country or individual would.
