My wife would like to join me over the summer as I jump around the west coast. She has sleep apnea and is on a BPAP machine. I will either be in a new Pro Star or Cascadia by the middle of July.
What sort of device would you recommend to power the machine. The company will not allow inverters.
Thanks

What they don't know won't hurt them. If you can use a cig lighter inverter to run the machine use it. When you go in for service or repairs hide it.
-
tha tis od, that they wont allow them,i can see not allowing direct wire inverters but a plug in 400W shoud be no big deal

If you go to this link you will find a plug in inverter as pictured below. If you are not a fan of Dieselboss'es you will be after doing business with them. They are to truckers what Gandhi was to India. I tip my hat (which they gave me) to them.

Most of these units operate off of 12 volts for the cpap machine itself, the humidifier is a different story, but a lot of times you don't need to run it just have water in it.

The humidifier is attached to the machine.

There are a number of units on the used market that will work too, I've bought a few in the past for backups (another suggest is to have a backup) which were under $100 and DOT compliant.
