Ok, not me personally, but my wife. She'll be in Springfield on Monday to start training, then she'll be working an office position in the Pittston terminal.
I'm joining the Prime family...

Darn almost choked on my cig...Had me worried there for a minute. Thought you really bumped your head
windsmith and poppapump1332 Thank this. -
I remember when the Pittston terminal first opened. Not sure about now days but it was a #### hole back then.
-
Yeah, your not sure. It's since been bulldozed and rebuilt in the same style of Springfield terminal.
Purchased another used terminal in Salt Lake recently and has already started renovations there. I've heard that the current SLC terminal will move into the new place at the end of summer.
Construction begins soon in Springfield. Prime East terminal (other side of US 65) will be renovated. Already a few departments moved out there with the exsisting tire and retread manufacturing. All the training will done out there with new pads, buildings and classrooms.
word is new shops will be constructed where the current training pad is with the additional property on that side of Mayfair Ave. current shop spaces will make way for more office space. We're certainly growing. -
####, they have been busy. I left in 09' but in recent time of rolling down 44 I hadn't noticed any difference. I guess all that load rate theft from the lease drivers is really paying off lol.
EZX1100 Thanks this. -
You can't see much of Prime east from 44. It's a whole different property on the other side of US 65 from the main terminal. It's not the old O&S terminal, but almost. There's another business between the East property and 44.
besides, as I said, they haven't started the construction there or at the main terminal yet.
if you've noticed the new International dealer on i44, Prime sold them that piece of property. Prime still owns the farmland property between the dealer and the terminal along 44. That piece and the current training pad is where the new shops will be built. -
All I know is at times we could use more in and out bound bays

My last time in Spri, it took 2hrs 15mins for inspection to trailer wash then to drop trailer.
-
It'd be nice if they gave us some short term connected TRUCK PARKING that doesn't allow bobtails to take it all!
Skunk... you wouldn't know how to make a freakin' penny in a truck. Especially with that seriously lead foot you're sportin'.
Whoa! Almost spit a mouthful of soda all over my laptop when I saw that one. She's headed into a really nice environment up there. When Prime bought TRL out it was a junk yard with cyber-locks and bullet-proof glass separating the office from the drivers. Tells ya somethin' about TRL... that's all gone now, completely paved terminal area and trailer yard, all new buildings except for the old tractor shop, lots of amenities for both drivers and office folks.windsmith Thanks this. -
Ahhh..... that's close enough to count.
Welcome to you both.
Wish the best for her in her new job & hope she likes it.Last edited: Jun 22, 2014
