I will not be buying a new truck. I am looking for something in the '03-'06 range. Somewhere around $30k. I may go newer if I get one from Lone Mountain when the time comes.

Why get such a old truck?
-
I prefer a pre DPF and a pre EGR if possible. Better performance and lower maintenance costs than one with all the emissions garbage.
-
Will SNI accept a truck older than 10 years? Did you mention looking at a glider in an earlier post?
-
I have gotten conflicting answers on that from Schneider depending on who I talked to. Some say no, others say as old as 2003. We will see I guess. ..
I have been considering a glider, however I am not putting a lot of thought into it until I see what the EPA has to say about them.kohio1 Thanks this. -
O ok I understand that. ...I was thinking of a 08 or 09 cornado
-
I hear conflicting info on truck age too. On their website it says any age is acceptable as long as it can pass inspection safely, but I had one of the recruiters tell me it had to be 10 years or newer.
If I get a used truck for my next truck you bet it will be older than 10 years and I will throw a fit until SNI accepts it or just go somewhere else. Not gonna risk buying another EGR/DPF truck next go round.nightgunner and realsupatrucka Thank this. -
Problem with older truck is that it's not CA compliant and the North East will follow suit with CA in a couple years.
-
That's fine, I don't go out west. I try to avoid the N.E. As well. I make more money running east of I35 and south of I80.realsupatrucka Thanks this. -
now those are my running lanes right there
