Meijer Newport Michigan, Wish all grocery warehouse slash walmart slash any major player in the truckload business would look at the parking and how these people do things. Its not perfect but you don't have to worry about where to park and make your clock work.

Just came up 65 from 70 ip. Major traffic today.
-
Yep... delays gettin' into Nashville, construction on the north side. Total disaster area south of Louisville... accident before 1 lane shut down. Then there's the third-world country known as "Indiana" and their totally messed-up goat trail highways. I really hate 65...

Monrovia, MD.
Even more creative parking than before.
Had yet another swarm of bees at reefer while fueling at NJ Petro. That made fueling fun! Guy next to me was laughing his ### off. This time honey bees & freakin' everywhere. What the hell is with all these bees? That's twice in one week.
Starting to think trailers used for meat loads have something to do with it. Or maybe it was the trailer# ending in 666. Maybe that would explain all the crap that went on over last week. Truck cutting out, oil leak, bees, dead meat odor that would come & go, but not IN the trailer itself......etc. Hmmmm, I think that #### thing was possessed. Sure glad I got to ditch it today.
Here's hoping you don't get the trailer I left in PA!
Gd' night all. -
It's the meat odor that's attracting the "bees".
The "bees" are probably wasps; specifically, yellow jackets. Yellow jacket larvae eat protein, so the adults scavenge for dead animals, bugs, and what not. (I often see them eating the dead bugs off my windshield when parked.) The adults themselves eat sugars, so watch your Coke if you're hanging outside; I've seen them crawl inside soft drink cans to get to the sugar.
As for the meat smell, two things come to mind. A previous driver may have hit some road kill (lots of dead deer chunks on the road!), throwing it into the underside of the trailer with the drives. Another thought is if the trailer had been sitting for a while, birds may have nested somewhere on the trailer. The trailer apron (what rides on the fifth wheel) is a common place. -
